RECYCLE VERMILION PARISH!

Recycling and composting are geared toward serving Vermilion Parish’s citizenry with services to reduce the amount of waste for landfill disposal and, thereby extending the life of expensive but necessary regional landfills, and conserving energy and natural resources in the process.

Residents are asked to bring recycleable products to the following location:

Magazines
Catalogs
Office paper, manilla folders,

Paper bags
Boxboard - cereal boxes, shoe
... boxes
Phone books
Greeting cards
Envelopes
Shredded paper

CANS (please rinse)
Aluminum: soda & beer cans
Steel & tin: soup, vegetables,
... tuna, etc.
Empty aerosol cans

GLASS (please rinse)
Glass bottles & jars
(remove lids and dispose with regular trash)

PLASTICS (please rinse)
water bottles, juice, soda, milk, shampoo, soap, etc.
Bottles only, no plastic containers, bags or trays

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
(no pizza or food soiled boxes)

Recycled products only accepted at landfill:
THESE ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY OTHER DROP OFF LOCATION.

	TIRES Regulations: 5 tires per day, per resident, driver's license required. Tires still on rims are accepted.
	WHITE GOODS - APPLIANCES Examples include: washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves, hot water heaters.
